Tonka Toy Work Vehicles: Built To Last A Lifetime...Literally
Why do kids keep choosing Tonka Trucks for over 60 years? Well in this short article, I will tell you why children (and grown men) love Tonka trucks so much.
First, let's start with the obvious. Tonka trucks are sturdy, especially the notorious yellow working vehicles. After all, they were built on this premise when the company started way back in 1947. And let's not lie to ourselves, most kids love to
"get dirty" and push their toys to the limit. So, a solid truck is a must.
Now, how sad would you be if your brand new toy broke from "normal" (rough) play? Well, I remember when I was a kid, it was the worst moment of my life (remember this is according to a child)! All children care about is if it works when it's playtime and if it has a cool look. But the parent who invested in the toy wants it to last so the kid cannot use that as an excuse to get another toy. So durability is what Tonka has been providing for over 60 years. This adds huge play value to a Tonka and that is what parents want if they are going to spend their hard earned cash on a toy.

Tonka first started out with only two styles of vehicles, namely a working steam shovel and a crane.
