Why do my power windows only work when it's hot outside?

I have a 1984 Volkswagen Quantum, and the front passenger side window will only roll up and down when it's 90 degrees F or hotter outside. Does anyone know why this might be?

Inside the motor you probably have a short. When it heats above that temp, whatever is shorted could expand enouigh to make a decent connection. Just replace it, and good luck.
