Volkswagen Polo and Vento Named Key Contributors To Sales Growth Of Volkswagen In 2010
The year 2010 has been the most memorable year for General Motors in India because the company was able to mark several landmarks for itself in the said country. All of the offerings from the company in that year have been progressing so much in their individual segment. The company has registered 32, 627 units in the Indian car market. A registered 974% growth was registered by the company last year alone as against that of the 3, 039 units in 2009. The month of December was again in the phase of acceleration for the company as the success story is continuing its saga for the month with 5, 772 cars sold. Mr. Neeraj Garg who is the Member of Board, Director in Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd addresses the success of the company by commenting that the company is very much delighted with the positive response that is received by the company from the Indian markets. He also added that the continuous success of the Volkswagen in India car market is the signal that the Indian customers have developed a faith in the brand and the company and that it will take necessary steps to stand to the expectations of the people. He was also very proud of the company's dealership which is increased in number from 40 to 70 around the country. This has greatly helped them trap the market in the most effective way. The availability of these dealerships is now just limited to the major cities but now, also of the secondary and tertiary towns. The major credit of the remarkable success goes to none other than the most favorite models namely Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo with a total number of 27 946 units sold. The marketing strategies followed by the company has also added to the success since it helped the company in building a unique branding image in the market which is very important for a strong base to be established. With this wonderful ending for the year, there are a lot of surprises that the company is awaiting for the next year to come.
