This iron is everything I had hoped it would be! No cord to get in the way, good steam, no drip, heats up fast. Would highly recommend.

Not designed with Lefties in mind
This iron works as well as the 1972 Sunbeam Jewel that it is replacing. As a lefty, I feel the design is flawed, however. The release button is right where I put my thumb, which is distracting, and the cord comes out of the base in the direction that works well for right-handed people, but not left-handed. It wouldn't have taken any more effort to make the features of this iron more lefty friendly. I'm also suspicious of the retractable cord. It feels cheesy, like it might not last very long. Overall, it's easier for me to use than my old corded iron, and I intend to keep it.

I definitely made the right decision to buy this iron. It's very straight forward to use. The manual is not quite clear but the iron itself is easy enough to understand. I love the cordless while not compromising anything. Order it and you for sure will not regret it!

Panasonic NI-L70SR Cordless Steam/Dry Iron w/Stainless Steel Soleplate
I purchased the Panasonic NI-L70SR Cordless Steam/Dry Iron w/Stainless Steel Soleplate for several different reasons. One reason is I have a progressive muscle disorder and I need an iron that gives me the freedom to move about without a cord and the weight of a regular iron but still all the attributes of one. It does everyting it claims. I love the fact that I can just use it then store everything compact. It has a cover, retractable cord, shuts off automatic if I forget, and again not only is it lightweight enough for me but it is pleasing to the eye. You don't necessarily have to hide it in the closet! Don't get me wrong now, it definitely gets the job done! The water resevoir isn't a extremely large one but it puts out the steam like there's no tomorrow with what resevoir you have. (I'm big on steam.) I can do about 10-12 dress shirts, heavy steam before I need a refill. I highly recommend this product for the price! Great buy!

The perfect iron!
This iron is just perfect! I have absolutely no complaints.
It gets very hot and stays hot long enough. That was my main concern with going cordless... but no longer. It's also a very nice medium size and weight. I had an older iron that was smaller and another iron I purchased a couple years ago that was bigger than this one...too big for me (and it didn't stay hot!). The steam feature on this Panasonic works great so far, no leaking. Love the detachable tank. Love the retractable cord on the base. Love how easy the heat setting buttons are to push. Love the size. Love the stainless soleplate. Love that it has no cord to get in the way. I just plain love everything about it!
I am a seamstress and I have been searching for a new iron for a good while, but was having trouble finding one with all of my requirements. The search is finally over!
