Why does the electric fuel pump still pump gas after the relay is unplugged>?
I have a 93 GMC Sonoma and a 89 Chevy Blazer. Both have the same 2.8 liter engines. I noticed when you unplug the Fuel Pump Relay the pump still works, If you unplug the A/C relay the A/C compressor will stop.So why will the fuel pump keep pumping?
Because they have a backup circuit through the oil pressure switch . unplug it as well and the engine will die .
