Did You Hear The One About England's Goalkeeper?: Robert Green And The World Cup 2010

Just when England thought that victory over the US in the 2010 South African World Cup tournament was certain, a momentary lapse of judgement that will undoubtedly haunt UK goalkeeper Robert Green for years to come changed the odds-on outcome in an instant at around the 38th minute of the game.

Even though the unfortunate moment will be hard to live down, to be replayed hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of times on the worlds TV networks and internet video sites (like YouTube), there's no doubting that the British were among the first to put a humorous spin on the situation by creating the following punch lines and jokes for the incident.

Before Rob Green became a goalkeeper, he was a bus driver. But he got fired because he couldn't make any stops.

All of these Rob Green jokes are getting out of hand...You might even say they're crossing the line.

Rob Green has just been refused a Savings Account in his local bank.

At least that's one British spillage the Americans won't be complaining about.
