Boca Raton used car dealership loves the Grand Cherokee's hill-driving ability
You've probably already heard lots of hype over the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. But not about the great new design and the revamped Phoenix engine – this is about pure off-road decadence. True mud lovers will appreciate this package designed just for them.
Customers of West Palm Beach used cars will want to know all about the terrain settings available on the new Grand Cherokee. Apparently four-wheel drive wasn't enough, so manufacturers began to look for more ways they could satisfy off-road drivers. They found it with terrain-specific settings in a feature known as Selec-Terrain.
This is a relatively new system. Land Rover uses it and the 2011 Ford Explorer also will include in their package. When you turn the knob the vehicle's system changes the settings on stability control, traction control, transmission and throttle control so the driver has the optimum power and finesse to deal with that specific terrain.
There is even a hill-descent feature for reducing downhill speed to maintain better control. Test drivers stated that the downhill control on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee worked better than any they have used before. Your Boca Raton used car dealership is thrilled that the new model offers so many options and aides for off-roaders.
If you are shopping West Palm Beach used cars, check out the previous Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Many of them also offer excellent off-road features. The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a great deal right now as well since dealers are making room for the 2011.
The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $31,000 and is arriving in showrooms now. Selec-Terrain links to other features in the Jeep to help refine those runs through the mud. An optional Quadra-Lift suspension will also give you 2.6 more inches of ground clearance or take off 1.5 inches for parking. There are also settings in between.
The redesigned engine in the new Grand Cherokee will also contribute to its off-road ability. The Phoenix was revamped from other models to create a powerhouse that is more efficient yet gives more pull. Drivers will be impressed with the total package – as the new engine and the terrain settings work together for an awesome day in the dirt.
Boca Raton used car dealerships are impressed with the additional features on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and hope that customers will take a test drive to try it out for themselves. No word on whether Jeep dealers plan to set up a mud bog so would-be buyers can get the full effect, but perhaps they can at least find a steep dirt road after a good rain.
