Macular Degeneration is an old age related eye disorder and is characterized by vision loss and consequent blindness. The degradation of macula is often encountered in folks above 65 years of age. This is of 2 types ; when it is wet it is known as neovascular because a new flush of arteries are formed where none should have existed. The abnormal vascularization takes place under the retina and seep out blood and other liquids.
