Chevy Lumina is hard to get out of park?
We have a 1995 Chevy Lumina. Sometimes (It can be anytime, but mostly in the mornings) the car is extremely hard to get out of park. Once you get the button on the handle in it is no problem, but sometimes it's almost impossible to get that button in. Once you get it in the first time, it won't give you problems for a while.
Any Help?
This is a easy fix at any Chevy dealership.We have seen a ton of this problem.This problem is caused by the shift cable.We remove and lube the cable and you are done.This cable gets dry and sticks like crazy.After the repair the cable will operate normally.This repair takes less that half of a hour and will last a long time.The cable sticks the most in colder weather.Best of luck with your lumina.
