Travel Spots in Long Beach

Long Beach, California is one of the most beautiful places to visit if planning a vacation in the near future. The weather is enjoyable all year round and there are plenty of places in Long Beach and the surrounding areas to visit while vacationing there.

Long Beach is located between Orange County and Los Angeles along the Southern California coastline. The climate is continually sunny with moderate temperatures which make for great beach days and enjoyable nights out on the town. The Pike at Rainbow Harbor offers something for everyone.

There are plenty of stores to browse through, over a dozen restaurants, a carousel for children, and a stadium seating movie theatre complex. Also located at The Pike at Rainbow Harbor is the Aquarium of the Pacific, one of the largest aquariums in the United States. It houses over 1,000 species displayed in 19 major habitats. Another tourist spot to go to in Long Beach is the RMS Queen Mary. The RMS Queen Mary is now a hotel that has over 365 state rooms for visitors to lodge in. The ship also offers a brunch every Sunday in the Grand Salon as well as tours of the ship regarding its haunted past.

If a haunted ship isn’t enough to quench the thirst of tourists and more shopping is what tourists are looking for then check out the shops at Shoreline Village. Shoreline Village is another tourist spot to go to in Long Beach. This strip of shops is incredibly family oriented and contains t-shirt shops and places like The Candy Baron and The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. If shopping is not what tourists are looking for then return to the Shoreline Village once the sun goes down? Why? Shoreline Village offers a fun and entertaining place to spend the night if the night life is what tourists are looking for. One of the most popular places to visit at night at Shoreline Village is The Yardhouse.

Another popular tourist destination is the El Dorado Nature Center. The El Dorado Nature Center offers tourists over 100 acres of trails, trees and native fauna to hike, admire, and take pictures of for the nature buff in the family. For families with children, the El Dorado Nature Center has quite a few programs for children that are hands-on. The El Dorado Nature Center also has two beautiful lakes on its premises for tourists to enjoy. There is plenty to do in Long Beach, California so make sure to take a long vacation so that everything can be done at least once.
